National Trivia Day is always observed on the 4th day of the year. But at JD Productions Quality DJ Entertainment, we play trivia all year long! Playing trivia can add to the fun as guests tests their knowledge about the celbrants.
For weddings, there's "Bride & Groom Trivia" where we ask questions about how the couple met, where they went on their first date, their interests, pet peeves, etc. For mitzvahs, sweet 16s, and birthdays, we ask questions about the celebrant's backgrounds, hobbies, favorite things, etc. For corporate events, we ask questions about the company's history, products, achievements, employees, etc. We also can customize questions to fit the theme for other types of events!

Fun Wedding Game - Who Are You?

Fun wedding where the couple had us conduct a game to see how well the bride knows the groom. We played "Who Are You" by The Who as the men sat in chairs while the blindfolded bride felt their hair and facial features, trying to pick which man was the groom. She narrowed it down to two men, ultimately selecting her husband. But just before the reveal, the two of them switched places leading to some big laughs for all. ;) Super Bowl Idea for Your Super Guy!
For weddings, here's a fun idea to put a new spin on an old tradition. When the groom removes the garter, he can wrap it around a plush or Nerf football. After calling together a quick huddle with the single guys, he can sprint across the dance floor and then turn to hurl a pass to one of the lucky guys! We can excite the crowd by playing the "Monday Night Football" theme and announcing the play-by-play action as it unfolds. It can be quite surprising, as the opportunity to make an interception always exists!"Call Me Maybe" - Action Flipbooks
Here's a video of JD taking Carly Rae Jepsen up on her "Call Me Maybe" song offer at an AfWPI event at Granite Bay Golf Club, where ActionFlipbooks turned a 6-second video like this into a keepsake party favor! Their flipbooks are tons of fun, they have a wide selection of props, and they use a green-screen effect to add various backgrounds!

A Super Bowl Idea for Your Super Guy!
Is your groom into football? If so, here's a fun idea to put a new spin on an old tradition. When he removes your garter, he can wrap it around a plush or Nerf football. After calling together a quick huddle with the single guys, he can sprint across the dance floor and then turn to hurl a pass to one of the lucky guys! Your professional DJ/MC can excite the crowd by playing the Monday Night Football theme and announcing the play-by-play action as it unfolds. It can be quite surprising, as the opportunity to make an interception always exists!
Steven & Jillian's First Dance!
Here are some highlights of a dance routine that a wedding guest captured of Steven and Jillian's first dance. The couple worked with "JD the DJ" of JD Productions Quality DJ Entertainment to create a custom music mix and then choreographed their dance to fit the different styles of music. Although not shown on the video, they began with a slow song to lull their guests into thinking it would be just an ordinary couple's dance. Wow, were their guests surprised! View their dance and listen to the crowd's reaction!
Wedding Tip #31 - May I Take Your Request
To add to your guest’s enjoyment at your reception, allow them to make song requests so they can listen and dance to music they like! If there’s a particular style of music or song you do not want played, however, be sure to let your professional disc jockey/emcee know in advance to not play those types of requests. A cute thing to do is to include a line on your wedding invitation’s RSVP for guests to write down a song/artist request and perhaps note its significance. As you get the RSVPs, compile a list of their requests to share with your DJ/MC, who can dedicate the song to them (e.g., “This song’s going out to Jim and Michelle, it was their 1st dance song when they wed 15 years ago”, “next up, we’ve got the Chicken Dance for Aunt Lisa”). By customizing the music to suit your guests tastes and personalizing their dedications, they’ll feel more part of the celebration and have great memories!
