Lace Up Your Sneakers for Run Rocklin!

The 9th annual “Run Rocklin” will be Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Johnson-Springview Park on Fifth Street. It will begin with a 12K Run at 8 a.m., followed by a 5K Run/Walk at 8:20 a.m. Children can participate in the free quarter-mile Kids Fun Run at 7:45 a.m. There also is a free one-mile run for kids, which is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Run Rocklin has become a significant community event that last year attracted teams of runners from throughout the Sacramento region and nearly reached its goal of 3,000 participants. The race helps raise money for local schools and for the locally-run, nonprofit Matt Redding Scholarship Foundation. The event will once again feature music by JD Productions Quality DJ Entertainment, complimentary food from Randy Peters Catering, and other goodies from local vendors. For more details click here

JD Attends DJ Seminars In Reno

On August 25, 2011, JD Firestone (JD the DJ) attended the Mobile Beat Tour 2011 in Reno where he listened to Jason Weldon of Synergetic Consulting speak on key components of conventional lighting for DJs and John Rozz of Connecticut's Sound Spectrum Entertainment speak on how to work your skills and games with Tots, Tweens and Teens. JD learned some creative ideas on how to make kids events even more fun and educational and picked up John's new "Icebreakers" book to hone his interactive skills!

It's Valentine's Day and Cupid delivers! Check out the newest album release from Cupid entitled Who Shot You. The CD Features the "CU-Step" (aka "The Cupid Shuffle pt. 2"), which JD the DJ learned how to dance first-hand from Cupid on-stage at the 2011 Mobile Beat DJ Show in Las Vegas.
